I have 34Gb left on my 64Gb SSD. After erase/install of OS and slimming down of languages/printer drivers, I started with 44Gb. After all my apps and my 7Gb iTunes library I'm down to 34Gb. I've left my iPhoto library on external disk and I'm relying on iDisk for general "might need" data.

I'm on another machine right at the moment but I believe I've got about 42 GB available on my SSD MBA. I did the "clean install" and got rid of stuff I didn't need (printer drivers, Garage Band, languages, etc.) and have installed very little on the machine so far. I haven't put my iTunes library on it because I can access my music with my iPhone if on a trip. I don't use iPhoto and I haven't installed Aperture on that machine. I did install Photo Mechanic, though, for reviewing images after I've uploaded them (temporarily) to the MBA while on a trip. My main use of the MBA around home has been for email and web surfing, and will be the same while traveling. I'll also be uploading from my digital camera memory cards to the MBA when on trips, but will save the heavy-duty image post-processing for when I return home to the Mac Pro.

I love the MBA -- it's terrific for everyday web surfing and checking my email whether at home or away from home.

I have a little over 41GB free on my SSD Air, purchased at the beginning of February. Reinstalled OS X out of the box and got rid of a lot of bloat that way. For my iTunes library, I kept the audio files local and moved all the space-hogging video content to a Time Capsule. For big files on the go I picked up a LaCie Little Disk.

I have - at this moment - 15.38 GB free on my 64SSD (really only 55)

I did the reinstall of OSX almost immediately and shaved off about 8 GB of install space. I run Parallels with an 8GB WinXP load and, just for grins, I installed WOW. Sadly that game uses the most space :)

This truly is a travel laptop for me with only some of my data, so for me the drive space isn't a big deal. Most of my stuff, including Music and games and photos and such is all on my main machine.

If I want some music, I copy it over for a while, then kill it later.

However, I will definitely be looking into some of the "tricks" posted in this thread.

49 GB left in my HDD and it has almost all the programs that i needed except print shop. Yes, it has all of my itunes music and photo library which took most of my space. I also have all of my college word documents and my iphone address book which usually all that I need.

I have around 30GB free on my 1.8/64GB SSD.

I did the reinstall of the OS, added excel, powerpoint, and word. Also added adobe lightroom.

i have about 5 gigs of music, 4-5 of videos and about 1 gig of pictures (which i should probably slim down). Also have some smaller programs like handbrake, etc.

I have the SSD unit, and I have half of the 55GB free, ie 27GB free and clear.

A reinstall, and xslimmer work great.
