Still being offered but you only get it once so if you had a device last year that you used for the free year you don’t get another one.
This is the answer. The T&C says only 1 device per family, regardless of the number of devices purchased. So yeah, it's literally a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. :)

my iPhone 12 pro came with a year of free Apple TV+. I hadn't expected it (have had a lot of life stuff lately, not spending time on fora) and was thrilled.

How do you access the free year? Is it via the app on the phone or can I use it on my PC or Smart TV to access?

Out of curiosity are you eligible for this offer every time you purchase a new Apple device, or is it limited to once per customer? (I assume the latter.)

To share with others on an Apple Family plan, does the account that activates the free Apple TV+ offer need to be the organizer account? or can it be any account on the family plan?

My free trial and extra 2 months will be ending at the end of the month. There are some high quality shows on Apple TV+ which I have enjoyed and I know there is a lot more to come. However I will be waiting for a 'lot more' before I start paying the 7 dollars a month that it costs here in Norway. After the next series 2 of Ted Lasso is available I'll sign up for a month and binge watch :)
