I’m sorry, I think I’m missing your point. I’m not downplaying my purchases. I’m saying we should be asking for more value for our purchases. Yes, I am somebody who is from the first world and is able to buy iPhones, iPads, Android phones, and Chromebooks.

What’s your point though?

You can try to justify it any way you want. Tablets are disposable and run a mobile OS. Not the same thing as a real computer.

Correction: tablets can be disposable much like any other piece of consumer electronics. I wouldn't say so about an iPad Pro for example which is far too expensive to simply throw away after a couple of years of usage.

I’m sorry... what? A straw man argument that a multi hundred dollar device isn’t “disposable” and people should expect a decent level of support? People who are okay with poor support are the problem.
