So did I back then.. I was die-hard PC guy, and couldnt believe you couldnt switch out internals like a tower..who the hell would buy such a machine? And that "soft" looking OS, and its colors, and that little mouse...

It would take me a few more years before I learned the err of my ways! ;)

I remember mocking the designs--I'm not a fan of brightly colored electronics… B/W and Silver is enough for me.

Puck Mouse

BTW, Puck mice rule!

I was fortunate enough to have a bondi rev. 2 mouse that had the small divot on the button so you could tell what side of the mouse you were on.

I hacked it and threw a blue LED in it too. VERY cool for the time when PC users were still obsessing about their 3-button off-white trash. :D

Who would want a computer that was built as a CRT all-in-one when most people today use LCD? I know some people do use CRT (like you), but a lot of people use LCD. I don't see how that would sell too well. Plus, the iMac G3 had a screen size at 15" max, way to small by most people's standards today.

If you wouldn't mind telling me, what advantage do the designs of the Powerbooks and the iBooks offer over today's MacBooks and MacBook Pros? Aside from the 12" form factor of the 12" PowerBook.

They're pretty.

Well, some people think so.

Like me. :)

We're nouveau old school. As opposed to old old school.

Well, go ahead and put an LCD in it, whatever.:p

Well, mostly, it is the form factor of the 12" iBook's and PowerBooks. I love my 12" iBook G4, wouldn't trade it for anything, because it's just the perfect size to carry around.
