I'm on a 6S so its not brand new....It could be the newest devices are not affected. I know Prozak0820 says he has tested on a iPhone 5s, but maybe he only played one game? The problem gets progressively worse the more you play so you need to play maybe 15 minutes on each device to be sure. If Prozak wouldn't mind doing a bit more testing on the 5s that would be great!!![]()
6S has A9 chipset and newer GT7600 gfx than iPad Air 2, which is newest I know the problem affects for sure (on 11.1 at least).I'm on a 6S so its not brand new....
Thanks M8! Asphalt is strange, even on 11.1 it can seem OK, then something will make it almost unplayable, crashing maybe? Could be you subsconsciously correct by tilting the device, but then making a mistake interrupts the concentration? It's a difficult problem for sure.Alright tested it all day on iPhone 5S. Asphalt 8 seems fine. It sometimes didn’t turn easily felt a bit glitchy. Real racing 3 was terrible. It just went left. Did 3 matches on each. And played storm raiders and this other racing game the rest of the day haha
Interesting. I had a go at laying Asphalt on a flat table when starting, it did seem to help a bit, but still gets worse as I play. I do think that if you crash it suddenly gets worse.Tested the new release 11.1.1 on an iPad mini 4. The drift problem still was there in RR3.
However, I found if I killed and restarted RR3 while the iPad was laying flat on a table, and then recalibrated RR3 right away, the game ran fine. No drift. I did a number of laps around Le Mans. No problems. Tried other cars and other tracks. No problems after about 15 minutes of racing.
But if RR3 restarted without the iPad laying flat while the game booted, the gyro problem returned even if a calibration is done.
You should just install beta 3 and test it. 11.2 is already miles better than any iOS 11 version so far. If you do be sure to get a backup (iTunes preferably) before-hand and archive it somewhere. Then you can go back to 11.1.1 if you so desire. If anyone has Beta 3 it would be good to know if this has been fixed.
[doublepost=1510728304][/doublepost]So for sure Gear Club is afected. I can’t steer at all! No steering recognition whatsoever. Tried auto throttle with manual brakes also tried manual throttle and manual brakes tilt steering still recognizes ZERO input. But airplane games seem to work. I’m pissed and confused. It worked yesterday but now today all of a sudden.. it stopped...This was reported as an issue with Real Racing 3 as far back as 11.1 Beta 2 but not fixed

Other games affected are all the Asphalt games from Gameloft. If anyone has 11.2 Beta 1 and has any game that uses the gyroscope to steer, please test the steering and if it's still broken please report a bug, and post on this thread, thanks!!!

What phone you using? I've been playing Gear Club on a 6S for ages and never had an issue as previously posted in this thread. Not played today but was fine yesterday.[doublepost=1510728304][/doublepost]So for sure Gear Club is afected. I can’t steer at all! No steering recognition whatsoever. I feel you pain with the issue, have you come across a solution? I've tried switching back & forth between the different steering modes, but nothing seems to help.Hmmm, interesting. So I managed to get it to show 0 on a flat surface, and then played a game of Asphalt 8, which seemed OK at the start but steadily it got worse again. By the third game I was almost having to hold the phone 90 degrees from me to play! I then close Asphalt 8, opened the compass app, went to spirit level and put on a flat surface and it was showing -18 (whatever that means) and the circles were wide apart.
[doublepost=1511251144][/doublepost]I’m using an iPhone 7+ my gyro works on my airplane game and other racing games. But it suddenly stopped for Gear.Club! I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled too. Nothing works. I’m upset as I’m so invested time wise into the game. What phone you using? I've been playing Gear Club on a 6S for ages and never had an issue as previously posted in this thread. Presumably its going to be fixed in an upcoming iOS software update so no reason to get that annoyed about it. Also if you've got it set up correctly then you shouldnt lose anything if you do delete and reinstall.[doublepost=1511251144][/doublepost]I’m using an iPhone 7+ my gyro works on my airplane game and other racing games.
