No! iMac27" 2017 and 12.2 last beta. Problem isn't fixed. This sucks really!!According to a user here, the 12.2 beta fixes the problem. I suppose we'll see when the update is released.

Half of Mac users didn't have iCloud tabs for at least six months at the end of 2020 and into early/mid 2021. My username sarcastically references the debacle. Apple's QC has gone downhill big time in the past few years, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if it took them months and months to fix this.Hopefully not. I mean,.. how could they ...
I have the same problem on macOS 12.1 and a 2014 Mac mini. I can't hear the audio from the other person on FaceTime. It worked fine on 12.0.1.
Camera is a Lenovo FHD webcam... although I don't know if the camera would matter because the problem is I can't hear audio from the person on the other end. They can hear my audio from this camera's mic just fine.
I installed 12.2 beta and it all works fine now.
Good to hear. You have a native FaceTime camera though. I wonder if it will be fixed with those of us with third party devices (Mac mini owners, etc.).
Maybe you use the mic from the Lenovo? Seems to be a problem with the internal audio (speaker/mic) devices. E.g. if I use my AirPods connected to the iMac, I have no audio problems during FT.Upgraded to Monterey 12.2 on my 2014 Mac mini with Lenovo FHD Webcam (UVC). Audio is now working in FaceTime.
The problem was that I couldn’t hear the audio from the other person, so it had nothing to do with my camera’s mic. They could hear me just fine.Maybe you use the mic from the Lenovo? Interesting. It was completely fixed for me with the update to 12.2.Have now updated to macOS 12.2.1 and the same audio problem still persists with Facetime calls.
Hello,I have managed to fix this by going to the Audio MIDI setup app and changing the output audio format to 44,100 Hz. Tip thanks to Ty on the Apple Support forum board.
This is for a 2019 27" iMac
