Other 12/12Pro (any variant) users are you upgrading to an iPhone 13/Pro (any variant)?

I’m skipping this year. My Pacific Blue 12 Pro still works great. Does everything I need. Don’t really care for the ProMotion Display as I don’t do any gaming on my phone and the camera upgrades are not a big enough jump in my opinion. If I had anything older than a 12, then I’d def consider it. I’ll wait for the 14. If the rumors are true that Apple will lose the notch and go with a hole punch display, then I’d def be getting that.

if they aren't (hole punch, retro design) will you keep waiting beyond IPhone 14?

12 Pro max to 13 Pro Max because IUP! Truth is even if I didn’t have IUP I would have upgraded just because my battery is seriously degrading. Can’t get through the day, like I used to, without charging anymore. I can’t wait to have the new larger battery!

Yeah. I have 12pm and it doesn’t last the whole day anymore. Down to 88% battery life. I’m surprised that the 13pro lasts longer than the 12pm.

I decided to take the plunge. My 12 mini was atrocious as well. Launch day model at 87% already. Hopefully the 13 Pro with LTPO and bigger battery makes some difference.

Yeah in theory, it should allow refresh rates to drop as low as 10hz depending on what's being displayed at the moment. Fingers crossed, it's not a disappointment. It'd also suck if this model has rapid battery health deterioration too.

Selected undecided but I’m likely keeping the 12 pro Max until next year considering that I’d have ordered by now.

13 pro Max is nice but in reality the camera is the biggest update for me which I don’t really think fills in an area my camera is lacking this year.

the cinema 'in transit' auto focus changing mode is nice but it seems way more centered on video this year than pictures

Still cool the Pro's have a different camera system than the regulars, all together afaik. Not just a third lense

its about time Pro gets more love for the premium. And 'Pro'Motion.

the 12 and 12 pro main difference was materials (imo). But I still like my 12 pro, and the carrier credits pushed me to that. Though sometimes I wish I got the regular just for the lighter weight. its easier on the wrist.

I have the 12 Pro 256GB and will be upgrading to the 13 Pro Max 256GB.

the trade-in value is enticing, also my battery health has dropped to 88% and the fact that the 13 Pro Max has a new battery lasting 2.5 hours longer. But I think if it wasn’t for the trade in value, I wouldn’t have upgrade.

Exact same thing for me! My 12 Pro battery life SUCKS so I’m trading it in to Apple and moving to the 13 PM 256.

I cancelled the ProductRed iPhone 13 mini and went for this instead. I think I will like it better, even though it is a bit bigger.

Think it depends. I usually keep my phones for 2-3 yrs. I got a X at launch and kept that until i got the 12 Pro last October. If the 14 still keeps the notch, i may hold off again unless the battery is crap at that point. I only upgraded last year because the X battery sucked and i just wanted something new.

iPhone 12 -> IPhone 13 pro. When I bought the regular 12, i didn’t know that the lack of the telephoto lense was going to be a big deal.
That, the promotion and the bigger battery makes me upgrade.

Went 11 Pro Max to 12 Mini (and love it) but now back to 13 Pro Max. Really miss the bigger screen. Maybe in my lifetime there’ll be an actual battery breakthrough to deliver capacity at reduced weight. lolll

I originally picked undecided. I had actually wrote out a very lengthy response, but while reading it back I realized it's not worth it for me to go from the 12P to the Mini. Even though the trade in value is very tempting, I still think the 12P will be worth more than the mini trade-in wise if I get the 14 next year....but, then again this wrist pain ...I'm back to being undecided.
