Got 128GB. Using 47GB. Don’t think my storage utilization would grow much larger. My largest component is downloaded Apple Music at 27GB. I only have 180 photos. They are in iCloud. If things ever got tight, I could delete stored music. Prior iPads never got beyond 50GB of storage used.

my iPhone also has roughly the same amount of storage used out of 256GB.

128gb

I take my photos with my 256gb iPhone - then Airdrop the ones I want to edit to the iPad - edit them - then Airdrop back to the iPhone.

I don't actually keep anything on the iPad

128gb on IPP, plus I have a 50gb plan on iCloud. My tasks are cloud-based, so storage isn't an issue.

I ordered a 11” 2020 256GB, because that was the only thing in stock last week at Costco in my search. I was going to get a 128GB version but for $100 more for 256 and had it in 2 days, that is what I did. I’m using about 70GB of storage only because I have my 40+GB of photos loaded to the iPad since I have the room. I also have 200GB of iClouds Storage for the family.

512 since the idea was to put all my stuff on it and quit traveling with a laptop. It is working great and my laptop is gathering dust.

12.9” 512gb this time and a 256GB IPad Pro 11 compliments my 16” and 13” pros. Returned 12.9 magic keyboard but have ordered a 11” one instead.

512 for the 2018 Pro I’d get the 1TB with the new one, likewise with my phones I always buy the max GB/TB option, not so with macs but I’ve run out of space on both the 11 pro max and my 2018 ipad pro.

I went with 128. I’m usually pretty good about using iCloud for storage and syncing. My phone is 256 and I’m still only using about 41 GB of that.

I got the 256GB version of the iPad Pro. I use Adobe Lightroom on the iPad Pro and have accumulated a number of curated photos that I store on the iPad Pro. I am using about 100GB at this moment, which is still plenty left. I will most likely not reach the limit until my next upgrade, so there is no need to buy the 512 or the 1TB version for now.

Got a 2020 1tb as I have nearly 800gb of icloud photos. When running the iPad it had just over 100gb left so looking forward to a 2tb! My MacBook Pro is 512gb so it’s lovely to have all my pics stored locally again (all backed up on two LaCie drives for piece of mind!). love iCloud but really love instant loading of pics and vids!

I just ordered a 2020 12.9 with 256GB. I plan to make this my daily driver and I use cloud services extensively. This is going to be a laptop replacement for me and I’m nervous and excited about making this change.

I ordered the 2020 12.9 with 256gb. It replaced my iPad Air 2 and my MacBook Air. Between the 256 and iCloud plans everything has been going smoothly

2018 with 1Tb and cell.
Have about 800Gb in use and its great not having to delete movies or comics to free up 50Gb or so

Don’t be, just take time to learn new routines and adapt your ways. Be flexible, google is your friend (to find answers) and learn to use automation to do repetitive things. That might safe a lot of time/friction.
And for 80% of the people (perhaps even more) an iPad is all they need to get around, if you just write documents, email, read a lot, consume a bit etc, an iPad is really nice.

And the 2020 is a beast of a machine, much, much better then most of the laptops sold (oké, at much much lower prices), but it is a joy to use such a beautiful, powerful machine.

I just got a 256GB 12.9” iPad Pro and Magic Keyboard to pair with my 16” MBP and I LOVE IT. Like, way more than I thought I would as I am coming from the 10.5” iPad Pro. I was worried it would feel way bigger/heavier, but it is the perfect size for work/entertainment.

Anyways, I got the 256GB version as it was on sale at B&H for $849 (2018 Wi-Fi/4G version) and now that I love it so much, I am considering going into this purchase more with a 512GB ($1049) version or even the 1TB version with the 6GB of ram ($1199). Mostly I will use this for email, editing word/excel from Dropbox, watching video and listening to music after work and maybe some video editing. For work I do a good amount of video editing in Premiere and Final Cut on my MBP 16, but it might be nice to do some in LumaFusion?

So my question is, what storage option did you settle on? Also keep in mind I will be sticking with the 2018 version as they are on sale right now. Thanks!
I have not gotten a 12.9” iPad Pro, but I have gotten the 11” and 9.7”.

I have Previously had a 9.7” iPad Pro with 128GB of Storage I had Purchased in 2017. Doing Video editing with LumaFusion, offloading LOTS of Photos And Videos from my iPhone, and downloading many Netflix and Hulu TV Shows and Movies I only ran out of space just about 3 months ago. So about a Week Ago I received my New iPad Pro 2020 with 256GB of Storage.

It’s the Perfect size. After getting all the files from my Old iPad Pro onto the new one, I‘ve only used about 100GB of the 256GB Available. I don’t see myself needing more Storage for the next 3-4 years. As long as I do delete unnecessary Photos, like Screenshots of that one Tesla Car I dream of Having.

256GB is my go-to, at least for now. I’ll have to see how this new iPad Pro fairs over the next couple of years.

Hope this Helps.
