Personally the 12 pro is just not worth it at all. I couldn’t care less about the telephoto lens and 64 GB is plenty for me. But if you’re undecided and can afford it then just go with the pro that way you won’t be missing anything.

For me, I was missing the telephoto for the last year on my 11. So the Pro to me. Plus, 128GB is the sweet spot for me. But I'm not going to critique someone saving money. The smart thing for me would have been to wait another year.

If it were me in this situation I would get the 12 Pro as I know I would feel like I was settling if I got the 12. you do have 14 days to change your mind.

Unreal. Cannot decide which one to get.

It seems like there is always some little thing the pro will do better, but these two look pretty close.

Here are the diffs I see.

Aluminum band vs Stainless. Yawn. Yeah stainless is cool, but, is it better? better reception?

4GB vs 6GB ram. another who cares. My XS is fast enough, at least it seems that way. Nod to the 12

Screens, are they the same? I saw the pro is brighter. That's import. Nod to the pro

Camera. This is the most confusing. I am really am more interested in the wide angle lens than telephoto. I used to shoot my nikon D700 with a 50mm prime. My legs are the zoom. The lidar is supposed to help low light focus. I feel the 12 would be an upgrade over my XS. If the camera was that important, I would say pro max, but I don't want a big phone. been there, done that.

Reception is a big deal, I work on my phone all day. Not to happy with the XS, seems like crappy connections over ATT. Or maybe ATT sucks. Don't know.

Am I missing anything? Anyone seen any guides 12 vs 12pro?

It basically boils down to whether you are willing to pay extra for the better camera, Lidar and the ProRes feature. Stainless steel supposedly makes the phone feel more “premium” but I don’t think it affects performance in any way.

This will sound crazy:

I bought myself a pro and my family iPhone 12’s. The 12 was much lighter in my hand and the weight and of the Pro is apparent because of the flat edges. I am returning the Pro for the regular 12 and will wait for the 13/14 for a lighter Pro model.

Now to decide between blue and black lol

That doesn't sound crazy at all. A lot of people will make the same choice.

It’s not like I’ll be traveling to use the camera anytime soon. The iPhone 13 Pro be perfect for travel if it’s lighter/slimmer.

The iPhone 12 is perfect for 2020. The iPhone 12 Pro is more so future proofing. Because I’m stuck at home and upgrade yearly, I’ll just go with the 12 and go back to pro when it’s more practical and reasonable. The 12 is the ultimate consumer phone for 2020.

I got a 12 64gb yesterday, all i need, $350AUD cheaper than the pro 128gb, never used night mode on my 11 pro took 2 photos lol, telephoto a few times, more with wide.
Wanted all black and a lighter phone.
