I got the 12.9” 256gb after having the 11” 64gb, iCloud is good but prefer to have my 140gb of family photos/videos on board.

yeah 128gb will be great. You could use also google photos in case you are going to continue to produce pictures. the google photos have unlimited storage for heavy users
Google is going to start charging for photo storage. Not sure of their specific plans but the unlimited free photo storage option is going away.

Unlimited under a certain megapixels only.
Not even that, it's not unlimited at all. "High quality" will compress photos and videos, but they will still take up storage and the smallest plan gives you 100GO for $20/year and the largest 2TB for $100/year.

I have checked all their plans because I was planning to do a photo studio, and you can request for up to 30tb If I remember correct! not sure thought but definitely is not only 2 tb

I ended up sending my 128GB back and getting 256GB from Amazon as they dropped to £800 and seemed like a bargain for the extra storage....cant moan at that price really

128 should work out great but Apple should have 256gb as the base storage on the pros.

you must selecte more options. its in greek language as you can see but the price is 149.99 euros per month. I have no idea how this works in your country but in CYprus this is available.

Wow, I am glad I don't need that much online storage given the price....
My 5TB Onedrive storage, which I get for free from my work, are enough for my personal use for the foreseeable future (including for personal videos and photos). My movie collection is spread over several SSDs, backed up by HDDs (an only partially on Onedrive...)

My rule of thumb on both iPhone and iPad storage has been to buy one higher storage tier than you will think you will need at the time you buy the device. Using that thought process, I own both an iPhone and iPad with 256 GB. After 2+ years with both devices, that storage size seems to be comfortable for both. I am storing over 128 GB on both devices, but not close to 256, so 256 seems to be the right storage size for my uses, so far.

it's a bit extreme, but ...maybe some people use it. I also don't need it but I was shocked when I see that is so much space available. well, one drive is also good. but much more limited. about movies, I don't store them. I watch online to save space. you know netflix etc...

With my 10.5 I took the classic advice of “get as much storage as you can possibly afford for future proofing”, so I got 512GB. What a huge waste of money that was!

I’m retiring this device tomorrow and after all these years I’m using a whopping 53GB and I could easily trim it down if I needed to.

I’m no longer going to follow that advice. 128GB for me. If it becomes a nuisance then I’ll deal with it then, but I suspect I’ll get along just fine.

I’m also not going to get the WIFI+Cellular model. I used cellular maybe a handful of times and I could have very easily just used the hotspot on my phone for those few times.

Feels good saving money on the base model.

Thanks. Just what I wanted to hear. I was doubting my 128gb because I was hesitant to pay the extra to get the 256b.

My iPad is 64GB while my iPhone is 256GB

iPad stores the same apps + games and is used to edit any videos or photos I drop off my iPhone. It works out great and I can then upload those projects into google drive since I have One and I share the files.

iPhone mainly stores all my new and ancient photos/videos right off the storage and theres still plenty of space for everything else. If I do upgrade though my iPhone HAS to be 256GB+
