Blazer town!
From an aesthetic point of view that wouldn't make much sense. Everything is shifting to aluminum unibody designs. They won't just cut out the 13" MBP model from the 13-15-17 MBP line. This is exactly what they fixed a few years ago when they added it to the lineup.

The plastic model doesn't make much sense to me, but it must still be selling I guess. If anything, I think the plastic design is the next to go — this time for good.

not to hijack the thread; macbook white probably the best seller outside of US where price really matters

you need two entry level Mac systems, one desktop -> Macmini and one laptop -> $999 macbook. I wish actually iMac starting in $999.

if you noticed in the earnings call almost 50% of the revenue is from outside of US. Most of it comes from iPhone and there is a way to improve mac sales outside of US.

I would go with the Air, since it's sufficient and the SSD makes everyday tasks perform a lot faster. Really if you've had a SSD once, you will never go back...

You can have that on the Pro too, of course, but the total price will be way higher at no apparent benefit for you.
