(14.0+) Auto brightness causing micro freezes with Studio Display

I don't want to jinx it, but since updating to 15.1, I haven't had any issues at all. To anyone else who had the same problem and also upgraded, what are your experiences?

Will report back in a month or so to confirm!

Not to be too pessimistic here but... with every minor and major release I have given it a try. Sometimes it has worked for days or even a couple of weeks. But the problem has always returned for me. I suspect this will be true this time too. But please do report back! 🙏

I replaced my M1 Mac Mini a week ago with an M4 Mac Mini. Now I have both my Studio Display and the extra display on Thunderbolt. So far no issues with that either. But I think that was expected.

It's still very unclear what causes this problem. Maybe I will try putting the extra display on the HDMI port and run with that for while to see if the problem is still there on the M4. Would be nice to free up a USB-C port anyway.
