These are the best iPhone 14 pro max screen protectors for me. Anti glare smooth. They make the iPhone screen pop and it’s highly visible in any light. If you like the matte finish, this glass is pretty darn awesome

I removed my matte screen protector on my 12 Mini today and replaced it with a nice Spigen EZ install glass screen protector. Looks stunning, so glad I paid a little extra as it feels better than a naked screen.

I would definitely go with reputable brand quality glass screen protectors over any others. They cost more but in the long term they’re worth both and in terms of protection as well as user experience.

Never have ever used a screen protector in any iPhone I’ve ever owned since 2010. Never have broke a screen.. the worst I’ve ever gotten is micro scratches.

In my eyes, they are tools and I’m not going to own it forever. I think for me a screen protector takes away the tactile feel of the native screen.

For me the tactile feel is no different then the actual screen as long as it’s a quality glass screen protector from brands like ESR and Spigen.

Personally I wouldn’t recommend anti glare screen protectors as they take away from the vividness of the display and make everything look more dull.

I recommend buying your screen protector at Apple or one of the shops that have the machine to get it professionally installed.

It is usually included in the price of the screen protector.

I think a lot of people who dislike screen protectors have only tried cheap $3 ones which do the job but are rough around the edges and don’t exactly feel tactile to the touch. A premium glass screen protector will feel at least as good as the phone’s glass screen.

I’m surprised to hear screen protectors are still used. I never feel like I’m extra careful with my iPhone. I take basic precautions. I’ve never had a scratch that I noticed. I thought the screens were pretty durable by this point.
Glass is Glass

Well I end up going down to the Apple Store today to grab my keyboard so I said screw it and just had them install a Bellini ultra glass. All good now!

Not this one.. you’ll need to try one before making a statement.
I don’t think it’s possible to use a matte screen protector and have as vivid a display as using a glass screen protector. I was using a matte one for 2 years before switching to glass and there is a noticeable difference.

The matte screen protector I had installed was not a cheap one either and it was fitted within the Apple store whereas the new glass one is from Spigen. The matte screen protector saved my display as I dropped something on my screen casing the film to crack hence the replacement, the phone display was perfect though with zero damage so it did its job well 😃. Here is a picture of each on my 12 Mini.

I see… well the one I have and have linked is really nice. It doesn’t mute my colors at all. This one just allows me to see the display better in sunlight or indoors. I can’t really tell that it’s on my iPhone screen and it makes reading and viewing a real pleasure. I used to use a plastic anti glare film back in the iPhone 5s days and that one was lousy and took away the sharpness of the screen. I just like matte screens like on a laptop. I think the colors look richer as a result. As a photographer, editing an image is easier as well. But that’s just me. If you don’t like them, that’s cool, but I wish that you wouldn’t discourage others from trying one. These are $9 on Amazon.

I never said I don’t like matte screen protectors. I have used them more often than not since 2016 because I spend a lot of time outdoors and dislike glare. Both types of screen protectors have their advantages and both do a great job of protecting displays so it’s really down to personal choice.
