Been using the iPhone 15 pro for a few months, after upgrading from the 13 pro. I'm not at all impressed by the battery life; it's noticeably worse than it was on my 13 pro. Has anyone else experienced this after doing a similar upgrade?

Been solid for me for the capacity size of this battery…do a full iTunes restore on your Mac and see if that helps.

For few hundred more max is better value
Yes but it’s also a lot bigger and heavier. Some people prefer the more compact/lighter 6.1” model, and still have all the ‘Pro’ features from the Pro Max (except 5x zoom).

Op, yes the battery on the 15 Pro could be better for heavy users, but the beefy A17 Pro, 8GB RAM, Promotion display (scrolling etc) and those cameras need juice.

Come from a release day iPhone 12 to a release day iPhone 15 Pro and for me battery life is good. I can run it down in 12 hours or so if I hit it hard, but today it's been off charge since 05:56 and at 18:11 I'm still at 67% (admittedly with little use and being on strong wifi all day). 100% capacity and 168 cycles.

Yup. The 15 Pro has bad battery life. I exchanged it for a regular 15 and dramatically better battery life.

Have you looked at what is using your battery? in settings go to battery scroll down to view what is using the iPhones battery.

My 15 PM is really impressing me battery wise. Especially since optimized battery charging is not working.

I’m content with my 15 pro battery life. Is it amazing? No. Is it good? For me, yes. And if it happens to get low during the day I almost always have access to a charger (haven’t had to yet). I bought the 15 pro knowing its battery limitations and was fine with them in exchange for the smaller, better-for-me phone size.

I'm not sure what to expect, it's my first pro but my iPhone 14 had the same battery capacity/maybe a little bit better. If I charge to 100% the phone will hold about 36hours with normal use, I have wifi most of the time.

If you shut off the screen light from on all the time and use WiFi for surfing when near WiFi your battery will last a lot longer, most people with complaints about their batteries just don't know how to setup the phone and how it operates.

I went from a 13 Pro to the 15 Pro and I'd say battery life is about the same, maybe slightly worse on the 15. I think iOS 17 is the culprit. Hopefully iOS 17.4 and later improve things.

Coming from a 13 Pro Max, I was expecting a downgrade in battery life, but it's even worse than I expected. Instead of like 20% less, it's closer to 35% less for me. On my 13 Pro Max, I could get 8 to 10 hours of screen on time pretty easily, even after using it for a couple years. With my 15 Pro, I get 5.5 to 6.5 hours, maybe 7 if I am careful. I almost exchanged it for the 15 Pro Max, but really didn't want to reward Apple for dropping the 128 GB tier on the Pro Max. I'm not looking forward to the battery life once the battery health starts dropping.

35% less makes sense. The battery in the 15 pro is about 35% smaller. The pro is not meant to compete with the pro max in battery life. If one needs 10 hours of SOT without a charge, then the 15 pro is not for them.

35% less doesn’t make sense. The battery is only 26% smaller, with two iterations of SoC improvements. I never said I needed 10 hours. I never said it was supposed to compete on battery life. 🤦 In fact, I specifically said I expected less screen on time. But it’s also worse than even the smaller battery suggests.

All good points. Thanks for clarifying. My understanding is that the pro has a 3200ish battery capacity and the 13 pm has 4300ish. That means a 1100ish capacity improvement. 1100 is a 34% increase over the 3200 in the 15 pro. I think that math checks out, but feel free to correct me. Math is not my field.
And you are right. You never said you wanted 10 hours out of the pro. My reply to you was a bit snarky. I apologize.
