This question has always had the same answer. If you like a bigger phone, get the Pro Max. Both iPhones are almost identical apart from the battery and a 5x zoom option on the pro max and that isn’t essential.
Thats the thing. I never went with the bigger phone because it sounded too bulky for most. The titanium however sounds like it made it considerably lighter, so now its more approachable. Maybe thats not true though?

Well for anyone interested, I ended up springing for the Pro max since I was still in the 30 day window and it didn't cost too much more than what I was already paying for the Pro. This will be an adjustment for me since it's the biggest phone I've ever owned but I'm looking forward to the increased screen real estate.

Thanks for the help everyone!

How are you doing with the Max?

Coming in late, but I’m doing the opposite. I REALLY wanted to go bigger this year, but I just don’t think it’s gonna be in the cards for me to have a large device again. It’s not just the weight for me, but the overall size and trying to reach everything. I am small with smaller hands, so I’m sure that doesn’t help.

So I’m either going to a pro or a regular 15 - have a couple days to make up my mind.

Currently using both. Surprised at how comfortable the 15 Pro Max is feeling. Probably the rounded corners, slimmer dimensions, titanium finish and lighter weight.

However I’m noticing the 15 Pro Max is running much warmer than the 15 Pro.

IMO the PM is tall for me

I've yet to get the pro max in, but I will say the Pro is a damn good device. I've had zero issues with it so far.

I have large hands so both are one handed devices for me, with the Pro being much easier. I first had the PM and was surprised how much lighter the titanium makes it. The kicker was when I couldn’t find where I left it, only to find it was in my gym shorts pocket. I didn’t notice it.

I returned it thinking I would prefer the portability of the Pro. After 2 days with the Pro it’s going back. I realize I prefer the screen of the PM, easier on my eyes, it’s more portable than any previous PM, and the battery…..what a difference. I’m not a person who placed battery at the top of my priorities but the battery on my Pro was not good. Much better on the PM.

Both are great phones. I do think between the battery life, 5x lens, and larger screen the PM at $100 more is the better value.

Whats the weight distribution like between the two? Is the pro max easier to carry because of that?

In my opinion, this is the easiest pro max to carry with weight distribution being a main area. I was watching all of the Pro vs PM videos I could find and one of the most common compliments of the 15 PM is its weight distribution. The Pro will always be easier one handed and in the pockets. No doubt. But man, coming from the 11, the PM isnt annoying me.

I could have sworn the 15 pro actually felt a bit heavier to me than the 15 pro max because of the weight distribution, as if because the 15 pro was smaller it was more concentrated in weight. But it was a quick check at Apple.

I agree. I mean it’s a gorgeous device - don’t get me wrong, and even since I decided to swap it, I wonder every day if I should just keep it and get used to it, but every morning after using it a while the night before, my wrists and hands are achy. I honestly didn’t think I was this much of a wimp, but that little bit of weight makes a big difference when holding it up reading on it for an hour or two.

I am 6'1, I have bigger hands. I am always a big screen fan, my first iPhone was iPhone 6s Plus, followed by XS Max, 12 Pro Max and now 15 Pro Max, I will never go back to small screen. Besides the big screen, 15 Pro Max provides additional advantages, bigger battery, better camera and better speakers. That's just me, my old man is 5.10 but her preferred iPhone 14 pro over Max. My wife loves big screen. She loves Galaxy Note over smaller Galaxy S devices. She doesn't bother about weight much. Her S22 Ultra is heavier than my 15 Pro Max.

I hear you. I’m 6’7 and really shouldn’t complain about the size given it’s pretty comfortable in my hand. I certainly understand why it’s considered too large and cumbersome by many. The move to titanium, while being blamed for several issues, was great for reducing the weight and making it that much more manageable.

Hi, I picked up the 15 Pro two weeks ago from Verizon. I really do like it a lot, but am wondering if the 15 Pro Max would have been the better choice for me.

Has anybody exchanged in either direction? What were your thoughts?
So I come from a 13 Pro Max which is the almost exact same size and weight of a 14 Pro Max and the craziest thing about using the 15 Pro Max for me is that it retains the 13PM/14PM 6.7inch screen size yet it manages to be closer in size and weight to the 6.5inch 11 Pro Max (see below comparison), so even though it has a large 6.7inch screen it feels much smaller and lighter.

I definitely felt like this with 13’s & 14’s. I don’t think it’s the same with the 15’s. They both feel great.

Currently testing the 15 Pro and the 15 Pro Max, and yes, I do feel the weight distribution is more pleasant on the 15 Pro Max, like it feels centered. The 15 Pro feels a bit top heavy, altho not as bad as the 14 Pro.
