Thank you for your kind response. However, I do not use Siri - I admittedly have an issue with allowing a recording device in my life that has been found on a number of occasions to have "unintended consequences". Not to mention the most recent oops "glitch" that automatically turned on the "Improve SIRI & Dictation" option.

As for tapping the address bar, I again tried without success. And of course, I can't find a way to take me to the bottom or to progress the page in equal, consistent one page increments.

Please expand on this. Is this a bug? Apple wouldn’t disable Face ID on a model that supported it. Not a chance, that would be like disabling Touch ID, which is much older and still supported on every device that features it.
