A 16’’ or 17’’ would be amazing and an affordable stand (along a magic keyboard).

But I’d prefer a stand of some sort so it would be a beautiful minimalistic computer with external magic keyboard and trackpad or mouse.

And the stand could be adjustable so it could also be useful for illustrators who want a Cintiq replacement.

Yes totally agree, perhaps one exists already.
Would love a beautiful stand fro my current 12.9” iPad that is magnetic, charges in some way, supports both landscape and portrait modes, and folds in multiple ways from a traditional computer style setup to a firm drafting/drawing table position, all with the simplicity of a well engineered and smooth hinge.
Would buy it in a shot.

I hope Tim Cook and Apple are reading. Please, make a 16’’ iPad Pro Max :)

Would be cool, but then that starts defeating the purpose of what a tablet is meant for especially when it comes to portability. Don't get me wrong--if this existed I certainly would buy one. Would Apple ever make something like this is the question, especially since they even got rid of the 17" MacBook Pro lineup. We'll see.

I think OP should’ve written 16’’ instead of 17’’ as that one extra inch isn’t crucial. But the MBP is 16’’ so a 16’’ iPad Pro Max would be great.

I love the iPad for drawing so I have hopes that apple with make a larger iPad for drawing purposes. Go back to their creative roots sort of speak. An 16 inch mobile studio pro iPad would be ideal Because i think the pressure is better on apple than wacom mobile studio pro and more accurate.

So here i am on my 12.9 inch iPad enjoying the heck out of this new magic keyboard, and i am thinking

I want a huge iPad. How great would it be to have a 17 inch iPad pro with a magic keyboard

A true large screen where multi window is usable as there is more real estate on the screen..

I could care less of the weight, as a large iPad like that would need to be handled carefully, but boy how great would it be to have a large immersive screen like this.

I am sure creators would be all over this

I am just a regular power user, but do a lot and need a large screen, The 12.9 iPad pro is my preferred device out of my arsenal of MacBook pro’s, lenovo Thinkpads, and IOS devices.

Please apple, make a gigantic iPad pro with magic keyboard for the few that would want this.

You've sold it to me.

I think the iPad is really tiny.

If you're a creator you need a bigger screen.

17 inch (to me) isn't huge. But it would be much bigger than the current iPad 12.9 which is 'ok.' Anything less than that and why bother.

A 17 inch with 4k and some kick bottom 14x Apple gpu/cpu thing would be worthy of a thousand-ish price tag...and a worthy wacom rival.

Azrael.

A 17” pro would be The ultimate flex, imagine walking into a meeting or taking pictures at a concert with one?

it would have to be made of a really dense material like steel or magnesium.

It would also need to have a reinforced body and a shatterproof screen as it would need to withstand the impact of it falling to the ground when other concert goers swat it out of your hand when you raise it to take pictures. ;)

I don’t know about a 17”, but would love a 14-15” iPad. Doesn’t even have to be Pro. Just the size alone is what I want

Yep. For me this is no longer tablet, it is actually something like Microsoft Surface Studio. It is not in any way tablet, nor portable. Its purpose really is for pro artists to be used on a desk.

I am waiting for 100 inch foldable iPad that folds into my pocket and weighing 5 grams.

Precisely. Call it iPad Studio for want of a better descriptive name than Max.

And as such the camera bump is an unecessary hindrance and should at least be an optional extra so artists can lay the iPad Studio flat (not just on a desk but also an inclined drawing board).

Either way to be honest I am not even sure how much people would want the camera on such device you know. Nevertheless I do think that this makes sense as a device for a lot of people. I see artists, designers, architects taking a advantage of such device.

iPads need to cater to both vertical and horizontal orientations. 17'' is far too big for vertical usage.

What you're looking for is proper external monitor support.

If we are talking about tablets completely agree. For me the device we are discussing is no longer tablet.

Not exactly. OP wants 17 inch touch screen display. Do not get me wrong. I do want proper external monitor support (especially extending displays) but the OP wants something differently. For me it is no longer a tablet but like I said Surface Studio like device (that btw can be rotated to support vertical orientation) that gives big canvas to artists.

I think a bigger iPad is coming just a matter of when

There’s a big rumour going around that the 11 inch will be going to 12 so question is what would the 12.9 go to?

The air is rumored to be going to 11. Maybe the pros will be 12 and 14. Im guessing the air will be exactly like the current 11 with an A14, the pros will have the A14x, the mini won’t change and iPad will have the A12.

I'd rather just have my 12.9 Pro with aspect ratio matching for an external monitor. I have no interest in an iPad that size, having once had a 17" laptop.

Agree with this. I'm sure there are use cases where a really large iPad would be nice if you needed that surface area for a complex drawing or a photo or something like that, but I would guess that is pretty specialized niche. For my own uses, an extended desktop would be something I'd use a lot. I have a couple of 27" monitors on my desk and if I could use one of those for editing large documents or photo/video editing it would take my iPad to a whole new level now that we have good mouse support.
