I am also reading that those that were shipped recently are coming from the warehouse here in US. So maybe next week days apple store should be receiving some shipments and updating their inventory.

Thankfully i wont need to hunt because i was able to snag the iphone 17 pro max 512gb DB last week. I just happen to open the apple store app and there it was. It was the last one. Likely a cancelled order that went back on the shelf is my guess.

If you want true rarity, finding a Blue TechWoven case here in the UK is impossible. Black is quite easy to find, and other colours come up occasionally with some retailers, but blue for some reason is non-existent.

In my country, the Pro Max is not available with any of the third party retailers. Buying direct from Apple still has a waiting period of 3 to 4 weeks for the Orange.

I don't understand "and then checked out every hour". Did you mean you checked to see if it was finally in stock for your store, or something else?
You add it to your bag and then proceed to check out where delivery options show up. If it’s not available for pickup, you just don’t complete the checkout. It stays in your bag so you can repeat the process until one becomes available for pickup.

I’m hoping this is a safe space since this is on the topic of the Pro phones. Don’t want to make anyone butthurt. But I think Apple misjudged the popularity of models this year. I think they thought the Air would be the phones everyone was buying this year and produced accordingly. And Surprise to even most of us people prefer the “Brick” over the “tile”.

Honestly, I don't know Apple would think that the pro max wouldn't be their most popular model. The 3 apple stores in Singapore got new stock on Saturday and the orange colour was the first to go in an hour. By Monday, everything was sold out. 😝

Every color and size of PM available for pickup today in Canada (checking Vancouver area stores). I guess the US demand has stripped supply.

That was my opinion launch day. You are spot on.

They did Misjudge. People have been returning the Air mainly because of the battery 🪫 depleting real fast. It has a small 3,149 mAh battery 🪫 compared to even the 16e which has a very good 3,961 mAh battery 🔋

Apple was planning on using silicon carbon batteries 🔋 in the Air which has a much higher capacity in a small package but they decided to stay with the trusted lithium ion battery 🔋

I’m guessing the Air 2 will address the battery issues.

I just checked availability in Cardiff and there is 'one' blue Pro Max available but to get any delivered it is 3-4 weeks. They seem to have sold well.

All Air models are fully available for delivery next day and for in-store pickup. The Pro Max seems to be by far the most in demand.
Cardiff? The home of Doctor Who. ;)

Nobody has any idea how many of each model Apple made nor shipped nor to what locations.

There is nothing to be gleaned about popularity of models here.
True.

Though the pro max has been the most popular model for the past several years and there is no reason to think that would’ve changed. But without knowing production numbers (or how much the delayed Air release in China affects stock levels for the rest of us), there’s no way to reliably reason about how well any model is selling from a unit count perspective.

One could argue that you can reason about how each model is selling relative to Apple’s expectation, based on how much they apparently either over- or under- produced, as reflected by stock levels. But there are still some unknown variables there.

This part I agree with, for sure.

Between the Air stock being "healthy" and the very mixed reaction to Liquid Glass, I'm a little concerned about Apple's ability to read the room anymore.

Well trusted outlets as Forbes and others have put out articles stating as such but I chose not to post them here because people seem to hate any negative Air post.
