I'm using a 13 Pro Max, on iOS 17 whatever it is. I completely skipped whatever version came out during the height of COVID. That release was a mess. I may skip this version also. The phone is working great, and I don't see any benefits, only possible headaches.

Do the 13's get mail organization?

I would like to know this also (13 Pro). I have difficulty finding any coverage that details the updates impact on the multitude of devices not capable of Apple Intelligence.

I just got a new battery installed yesterday at my local Apple Store so I’ll probably be with this same device for at least another year.

Encryption unfinished?

Why is Mail still not end to end encrypted?

That would be PRIVACy as Apple advertises.

same for contacts and calendar apps …

Maybe because encrypted mails cannot be read by apple intelligence, right?

If the device is unlocked, the data is unencrypted, no?

I might misunderstand how this works, but I thought that the data is encrypted while the device is locked, then unencrypted when unlocked. Then encrypted again when in transit, until it reaches the second “end” client where it’s treated the same way.
