I've never used it, but it seems popular and well maintained, no? Do you feel like you need to change? I've only ever used 1Blocker during my time with iOS and have been satisfied. I wouldn't look elsewhere unless necessary..
Is the X worth the purchase or just go for ordinary 1 blocker/

I would go with 1Blocker X over the legacy (original) version, especially if you are inclined to opt for the premium purchase for 'unlimited blockers' and iCloud sync. 1Blocker X is the original with premium features and expanded feature set right out of the box. Truly a worthy upgrade over the original.

I have just purchased it! Do I have to do anything or set anything? What do you mean by iCloud sync? Like it saves your settings on iCloud?

When you first launch the app, it should walk you through the few steps to get it up and running. It's that easy.

And, yes, it should save and sync settings between devices via iCloud.

Yes I have purchased it!

Would you say its worth blocking annoyances and comments? So far I have only blocked trackers and ads....

I do block both. Mainly, I am interested in blocking all the noise that I have no interest in viewing on a page. Apart from ads, that includes certain banners and bars and it definitely helps. Anything I don't need I don't want to see and so no point in loading and displaying them, and that largely includes comments. I almost never venture into the comment sections, save for a few that I am presently whitelisting. This exempts a site from all the content rules, though, which is why I look forward to partial whitelisting. I also block adult sites for no real reason.

I purchased the upgrade for the legacy version about 1 year ago, but with that said:
I have no issue paying the equivalent of what two cups of coffee costs to get the X version due to the updated number of rules in the new version. For what 1Blocker does I would even be willing to pay double the price. If this was a big corp doing the development I might feel differently about what I would be willing to pay.

Oh and the partial whitelist is a added bonus.

Just my rant, each to their own..

Does 1Blocker X block in-app ads like Adguard Pro or is it just a content blocker?

I find many sites I go on, know I am using it and want me to whitelist their site before I can get past a warning page. I wonder what the point of it is anymore.

What's the news you guys are waiting for? Looks like the last update was just around 2 months ago? Are people having problems, or was there supposed to be something coming up? Just curious because I haven't been experiencing any issues.

Though I am still waiting for the addition of partial whitelisting, maybe that's what's keeping them?.. :D
