I had the same thing happen to me. Someone on CL was selling 2 x G4 systems while the pictures showed an aluminum chassis. Didn't think much more than "He's mistaken...those are G5 systems". Then something caught my eye: Two optical drive bays. Sure enough they turned out to be Mac Pros. One was an eight core 3.0GHz (2,1) the other was an eight core 2.8GHz (3,1). Can't recall all the specs but they were nicely outfitted...I think one had 4GB RAM while the other had 8GB. Four hard drives in the 2,1 brought it up to...I think 2TB. The 3,1 had the original 320GB HD. How much did I pay for these? An impressive $50 each.Hi guys,
I have been wanting it for some time, but the lack of the need or the use of it to me, had kept me away from the Mac Pro, not mention the tag on it!
But i couldnt resist this one! It was a dream that i was dreaming of. In my part of the world, its common for folks to mistaken the Power Mac G5 for a Mac Pro and tagging it with the price of a Mac Pro.... BUT this was the reverse ( i believe so !)
