MP 1,1-5,1 2 GPU, How to Configure?

Hello! I just got a new Radeon RX 560 for my Mac Pro 5.1, but since I can't connect my screen to that card, I still using the original one AMD HD 5770. My question is, I have both connected. But is the new card working? I can't actually see a difference in FCPX or After Effects, Do I have to tell this softwares to use my second card? and How do I do that?

Which OS?

The 2nd GPU may only help in compute (when no monitor is connected).

For FCPX, if you can't see the RX560 has any activity during rendering. Then it means your setup is not good (I mean 5770 + RX560) for the software, and no way to config it.

Im running High Sierra, in this case I uploaded this after effects screenshot showing the HD5770 as the rendering card... I want to use my RX560 instead, but don't know how to change it.

The problem is that i cant connect my display to the RX card because the cable is minidisplayport, and I cant find a female adapter over the internet

Check System Profiler to see if the cards are recognized.

Whichever card is connected to the display will be viewport accelerator card. You can use additional cards for rendering but only if the coded or project supports it. If you wanted to render with h.265 for example then the CPU would take over.

You should invest in a full HDMI or DP cable. Don’t use the mini DP or adapter.

OpenGL only available to the GPU that connected to the monitor. As I said before, the 2nd GPU can only be used for compute.

Anyway, when I using my 27" ACD with the 1080Ti, I use this adaptor. It's from China, about $1, work flawlessly.

In my experience, trying to retain a GT120 for boot screen and RX 580 for performance, I found that the combo arrangement brought down the performance of the RX 580 alone.
