Well...my wife would have been happier with the 24" and I, with my budget minded (tight wad) thinking chose the 20" with 24" monitor...but, in the end, you always want to please your wife...so, we ordered the 24"

We can always purchase another 24" monitor if and when we decide it's needed (wanted).
In the mean time we can view pages side by side and supposedly the 24" is actually a better quality LCD.

They indicated shipping arrival between June 27 - July 3, hopefully it will show up on time as we'll be visiting the in-laws and will leave July 6th from where it's getting delivered.

Those of you that have ordered from the online or refurb store, did they arrive within the specified delivery by date?

I'll post more and maybe pics, definitely questions once I get the thing and get it set up.

...waiting...

Glad that you and your wife will be happy. Congratulations on the purchase. :)

the 20" imac screens are definatly worse than the 24" ones. Yes you caN calibrate them the smae, but the 20" is a bit dimmer, and then there is the viewing angle problem. 20" imacs start look worse and worse as you angle to the side of the screen, they loose contrast and the saturation of the colors goes all out of wack(if you don't know what i'm talking about, just find a normal laptop and look down at the screen from a verticle angle, it just looks horrible) however, the 24" screens in the imacs don't suffer from this problem.

my friend got a 20" and it looks great i think but then all i have is 15" and 17" crt flat and normal and a 13.3" glossy which is pretty small to know that is looks amazing.

Upgraded

Well, I decided to up grade from the 2.4, 320g to the 2.8 Core Duo (Penryn) faster FSB, RAM and 6mb cache for a $150 up charge.
Only problem is, it may not show up by the time I leave Colorado. It says it will arrive between Jun 30 - Jul 7...I leave on the 6th and the 4th is a holiday and the 5th is a Sat.
I wonder where they ship from.
Having just ordered it last night, it was too late to change the order because it was going out today...so, I just ordered the 2.8 along with the 2.4.
Anyway, the guys told me to just refuse delivery and it will go back and I'll get credit, in which case I'll keep the 2.4, if (cross my fingers) the 2.8 shows up, then I ship back the 2.4, already have the shipping label.
Either way I'll get an iMac and I'm sure the 2.4 will do more than what I ask of it and it's just a reason to upgrade in a year or so.
