Strange that the best performance is with 1 CPU, isn't it? I'm just glad it is working again. Which version of Parallels are you using?
Version 18 beta but I'm sure version 17 would perform just as well? Or did you have a problem with 17 that caused you to want to downgrade to 16?

I was just throwing the kitchen sink at it trying to get it to work. Once I got it working I didn't mess with it anymore as I was tired of shutting down/reconfiguring. The single CPU seems to be the trick so I'll probably go back to Parallels 17.

Let us know how that goes.
I went back to Parallels 17, 1 CPU, 8GB RAM, with Hypervisor:OFF. I think it works better with Hypervisor off for me. Regardless, this speed is perfectly usable for my needs. Very pleased.

Are you using OCLP with minimum spoof option?
hi, i figured out that if i manually load the parallels hypervisor kext then it works. however, it is very slow as you mentioned. i want to use it for gaming so i dont think switching to 1 core will be an option

Hmm. Something just broke with this setup. Upgraded to Monterey 12.5.1, OCLP 0.4.10 with post install patches.

Parallels 17 no longer works and crashes when trying to re-open. I've tried reinstalling Parallels 17 but it won't start up. Anybody else having the same issues? It was working fine before I upgraded to 12.5/12.5.1
