I also went to the feedback site and dropped a message. I called Apple Support, and they forwarded me to Engineering. From their response, Engineering apparently thinks it might just be a hardware issue with my specific Mac Pro  Hello? Have they heard of the Internet? This issue is well known and discussed everywhere!

I asked the support rep if there is any way we can ask for a fix, and he said the number of incoming calls/feedback issues about this have to rise to some magic level, and then they'll consider issuing a fix.

They fixed it for the 2009 firmware -- so they obviously know about it.

Apple sucks :(

still no resolution i guess?

This is infuriating. Apple is SOOOOO deceptive. Yeah look how we can run Windows! Look how everything just works! What a load of lies. And what a waste of hardware. If I could, I'd trade my MacPro in for a Dell T7500 ANY DAY.... ya know, where you can actually see a BIOS and just flip a simple switch to enable virtualization...

Thanks for nothing, Apple. You suck.
