I suppose you'll be editing the thread title to:

"2009 WWDC is the best WWDC ever!"

If you children learn a little patience. There is a new iPhone, but as many have said it's only minor changes, the next big iPhone change will come when they move to 4G next year.

Jesus christ. They've updated just about everything and people still bitch? All the little holes everyone complained about with the iPhone are now filled, the macs are cheaper with better batteries and you guys finally got your card readers, yet there is still bitching.

Does everyone honestly expect Apple to revolutionize the world every damn year? Not to mention its a DEVELOPERS CONFERENCE.

Keynote thoughts

Big +
MacBookPro price reductions
Only $29 to upgrade to Snow Leopard
iPhone OS 3.0
iPhone 3GS
voice control for IPhone, hopefully will come to Snow Leopard

Small +
nice incremental updates to MacBook Pro hardware

Negatives
no built-in cellular Edge-3G data support for macbook portables
Snow Leopard presentation lasted only about 15 minutes
Snow Leopard features glossed over, can't think of any new features compared to last years WWDC presentation
No mention of marble User Interface
Grand Central and openCL where glossed over, I really would have like much more in depth info on them, I guess one would have to go to the non-disclosure Apple-confidential sessions to get that info

clearly Apple's future is with the iPhone

At first I thought it was great as they said the new macbook pro 13" was $100 less than the old macbook. But im in the uk and the 13" macbook pro is £1300 which is around £300 more than the macbook and they have stopped selling the macbook online meaning I cant get one

It was ok. It just sort of weak because for probably the first time (at least for me) virtually all of Apple's announcements were leaked rather accurately. The iPhone 3GS turned out to be exactly as the rumors predicted, minus the matte back (which it needed, that damn thing is too slippery to hold), glowing logo (seriously, who the hell actually thought that it even made since to do this one?) and Wi-Fi N.

I'm mostly upset how misleading they were with battery life, claiming it's longer. When you look on the Apple site on the tech page, it's only slightly longer for audio/video playback. The real issue with iPhone battery is not media playback... it's talk time. And the talk time is exactly the same. Lame.

Um, no it isn't - the MacBook Pro 13" starts at £899 in the UK...

So? The updates were still good.

Its mostly longer for application usage, which is the real battery drainer.

I was very surprised to see so many HW announcements, so in that sense the keynote was not as disappointing as I expected. But Apple usually has trouble living up to the hype that it itself encourages for these things.
