I installed Snow Leopard Server to test some things out on my 5,1 Mac Pro, but the MP doesn't have the files I need, so I installed Snow Leopard Server on the Mac Pro, but tried to boot it on the Mac mini (I have it installed on an external drive) and it keeps kernel panicking on boot.

I created a USB stick of the installer, which worked perfectly fine on the MP but also kernel panicked on the Mac mini. Any ideas why?

Your Snow Leopard Server installer is probably version 10.6.3, which is too old for the 2010 Mac mini.
Since you have an installed copy on the Mac Pro, fully update that to version 10.6.8 using Software Update and then try to boot it on the Mac mini.

Yep, was able to boot no problem. The thing I was trying never worked, but whatever...
