Well, looks like it's on there! Swapping GPU now, the moment of truth...You may do this test.
Flash another WX7100 bios, and flash again WX7100_GOP.ROM, to see if you have the same message.
Don't touch power supply, it could be a nasty electrical shock, if you didn't let it time to discharge.🤪Well, looks like it's on there! Swapping GPU now, the moment of truth...
@stephengrenfell
1. Please confirm first which bootrom version you have on your mainboard
2. Disconnect LCD, disconnect SSD, disconnect HDD. Put in USB key:grml.org
Let it boot up. You should hear chime, ODD noise, and maybe fans will run full speed.
Go to another machine and see if your imac is detected on your DHCP router. If so, SSH into it from another machine (PC/or MAC).

and let me know what Board-Id you have for your GTX780M card.
Any basic/non-Apple MiniDP<->DVI/HDMI/DP cable (matching the display connector on your external display) will just do fine to connect your iMac (2009->2011, even 2012/2013+ is OK) and test external display!

Can I get that from command line using SSH ?.
If it helps macOS installed is 10.13.6
sudo /usr/libexec/firmwarecheckers/eficheck/eficheck --integrity-check
Code:sudo /usr/libexec/firmwarecheckers/eficheck/eficheck --integrity-check
That is what your screenshot states when you ran it a second time, which makes sense. Did the WX7100.LOG file generated by the first flash also state that? That is where you redirected the output when you flashed it the first time.Strangely enough, when I went to flash new WX7100GOP.ROM, it told me chip content was identical already. Thoughts?
This is the same that I have here: 87.0.0.0.0 - the latest. My time stamps are differentBooted on original SSD remote in via SSH gives

iMac-Stephen:~ admin$
This is what happens without lcd installed.
- connect power cord, 1st led lights up immediately
- press power on once nothing happens
- press power on second time
1. second led lights up and fans run a slow speed
2. few seconds later optical drive noise (usual noise)
3. few seconds later chime noise and third led lights up
4. 30 seconds later fan start to run at full speed, and it stays like that
Is the fan full speed due to lcd thermal sensor not connected ?.
Complete guide on how to flash your iMac's boot rom and 765m/770m/780m gpu in order to get boot screen and the cards working with both MacOs and Windows:
Please others chime in if I'm incorrect with any of this.
This assumes you either already have Windows installed, or you have the ability to install Windows.
Some of this is how I would go about doing it, as with most things there's other ways and it pretty much comes down to what you're comfortable with.
- Setup and test screensharing on macOS just incase
- Disable SIP https://www.remorecover.com/blog/how-to-disable-system-integrity-protection-in-high-sierra
- Backup your rom with dosdudes' romtool http://dosdude1.com/apps/ (make multiple attempts and compare them against each other per FlorisVN's advise

2011 iMac Graphics Card Upgrade
no problem. perhaps Nick will make a rom for these quadro cards someday, let's hope. And if not it is possible to install a GTX765m inside a 21,5" iMac, i would personally not reccomend it in the first place. But others have done it, and it is possible.. If Nick, or anyone else felt inclined...forums.macrumors.com
- Download and unzip Nick's beta files https://forums.macrumors.com/attachments/kepler-beta2-zip.856644/ - put it on a usb drive
- Prepare the new bootrom as per:
with UEFITool https://github.com/LongSoft/UEFITool/releases/download/0.26.0/UEFITool_0.26.0_mac.zip- Install Windows via bootcamp, set up Teamviewer, enable auto-login on Windows and set Teamviewer to start on login. Set a Teamviewer password and do a few tests to see if you can remote in on another machine without touching the iMac
- Download and unzip NVFlash https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-nvflash/ - put it on a usb drive
- Put Nick's bios files in the same folder as NVFlash
- Install the new card - if it's a Alienware/Dell it should work fine in macOS
- Reboot to Windows by selecting Startup Disk in system preferences in macOS
- Remote in with Teamviewer
- Run nvflash from command prompt as admin - eg nvflash -6 765M_256K.rom
- You should then restart to Windows and it'll work - you'll just need to install the NVidia drivers
- Watch this video so you have an understanding of how to use flashrom and the CH341
- Switch to another machine (I used my macbook).
- Download Virtual Box https://www.virtualbox.org/ and Ubuntu https://ubuntu.com/download/desktop/thank-you?version=18.04.3&architecture=amd64
- Install Ubuntu, connect the CH341 and assign it to VirtualBox
- Run Ubuntu
- Open terminal and run "sudo apt-get install flashrom"
- Run "lsusb" to see if the CH341 is there - if not double check if it's setup correctly with VirtualBox
- If all good connect the CH341 to the eeprom on the iMac per https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/2011-imac-graphics-card-upgrade.1596614/page-106#post-27689935
- Run "sudo flashrom --programmer ch341a_spi -r test.bin" to verify it's connected correctly.
- If it worked fine, flash the rom you created with UEFITool to the iMac "sudo flashrom --programmer ch341a_spi -w the-rom-you-created.rom"
- If that all went well you should be able to boot to a fancy new bootscreen
Edit: updated with correct version of UEFITool
Do you have the laptop in working condition to complete the flash? Otherwise you have to use a clip/ch341a.I got a toshiba Qosmio x75-A7170 770m GPU, It will work?

But I have another laptop working with Windows10. I am without north. lost with this issue of rom, vBios. I'm trying to find out as much as possible before putting the GPU on my iMac. but it's very difficult, I don't know much about Mac.I do not have. I bought the GPU online from a person who had this notebook that had no repair and was selling the functional parts. then I bought it to upgrade my Mac.
Hi! Which system, which OS, which firmware version...?at this moment i have got 3 cards
K610M
K2100M
K1100M
On K610M i can normally run MacOS (high sierra) and work, Etc. (no bootscreen ofc)
On K1100M and K2100M using @Nick [D]vB roms i got only white screen - it couldnt boot etc.
With stock Bioses - its the same but black screen
any ideas?
Please, put the heatsink with thermal past, just plug everything as before you open this iMac. We don't care about macs fan control before entering desktop.@Pascal Baillargeau
I had to take the logic board out in order to install the WX7100 because the heatsink frame had the screws in upside down and had only bolts on the side facing me when I opened it up. That said, I booted but had no such luck getting a display, also the CPU fan went wild and the power shut off. Turned it back on, again no display and power shut off again. I made sure everything was connected again correctly. Have macs fan control running and the only sensors that weren't connected are ODD sensor and GPU heatsink sensor because I left the heatsink off just to test the GPU. Has anyone run into this? I'm about to take the GPU out and send it back to China, but want to see if I missed anything first.

What's the diag leds say?
How do I also activate the Nvidia GTX 770m iMac boot screen? Step by step. I am not an advanced user in programming. I downloaded Nick's rom, but I don't know what to do now. Not to mention that my English is very limited
Thank you.
I am in the same situation as you (770m), with the help of the community to upgrade the right way. I wish you good luck. Where you are from?

I don't want to risk damaging that card. Hence the need for a how-to guide.
