On cloud 9 right now. Sold a 2009 Macbook Pro I wasn't using and a 35mm SLR and bought a 2013 Mac Pro. YAY The Trash can Mac Pro is mine. 6 core CPU 32gig Ram and a 250GB SSD. Can't wait till it arrives.

Paid $99 for the computer + shipping
That's a ridiculous price. I paid £249 for the same spec a few months ago but I'm very happy with it. I went with an eight core processor upgrade as there was too much of a single core speed sacrifice with any more cores and a lot of software still only addresses one core.

Yes, I have also got used systems before with a GreenChip sticker. In my experience, they are very thorough when prepping systems for resale. They will document for the previous owner that storage on systems from that customer have been adequately cleared to whatever level the previous owner needs. DOD-level is often considered to be adequate (read: overkill), so I think the sticker that you found means something: nothing of consequence can be recovered from the previous owner

Sounds like a good thing. Thanks friend.

I misunderstood. I thought the DOD meant it came from The department of defense

I meant why are you excited over an 11 year old machine? Which IIRC was crippled on release. Unless you are a collector, congrats

Its a 3.35 GHZ machine with 32GB of ram and a 256gb SSD with D500 GPU's in many ways its one of the most powerful machines I've owned and its hardly crippled and the polished aluminum is nice to look at. Besides I already own a M2 Mac Mini with 8gb ram 256 SSD.

just to be clear, the trashcan mac pro from 2013 is more powerful than your M2 Mac Mini?
