I have the below MBA:

When I do a system report & look up thunderbolt it says I have TB3/USB4?

But according to Everymac, I only have TB2?

Small practical follow-up if you're thinking of buying anything for that port: the TB2 accessory market has basically collapsed on the used side now that everything's USB-C. Little Big Disks, LaCie 2big TB2, old CalDigit T3s all going sub-$40 on eBay and they run great off a 2015 Air's controller as long as you use the original bundled cable. The tricky ones are TB1 accessories from 2011-2012 — some of those don't renegotiate cleanly with TB2 chipsets and behave worse than an equivalent USB 3 drive.

Also worth knowing: the mini-DisplayPort side of that connector still works as pure DP with a $5 mDP-to-HDMI cable, no TB anything involved. Kid's 2015 Air here drives a spare 1080p as second display that way and it doesn't touch the TB controller at all.
