Yes, but I should still be able to fix a loose part in my computer while under warranty. I have it currently being "repaired" by the Apple team in Houston and expect it back tomorrow. Hopefully they did what they said they would and replaced the faulty cable.

I'm with you regardless of price... $1300-$5k. Rattling sounds in a laptop are not "normal" and that doesn't seem to be Apple's style either as a company. I hope they take care of this issue for you and make things right. I just went through 4 2016 15" MBPs. My first one the space bar was catching and getting stuck, the second one would reset while hooked up to an external 27" 4k monitor, the third one the TB would cut pieces of images out, freeze and not work properly... this fourth one is a charm lol... Actually, I went through 5! One didn't work out of the box at the Apple Store! I'm hoping nothing happens to my current laptop and I'm keeping my fingers crossed...

My system cost me $3.2k and there's no way I'd keep a computer that has a lot of important information on it with loose parts flopping around (yes, I back up my laptop)... I guess if I had money to throw away I wouldn't care, but I don't and I also care about resale value (sorry, I don't have a momma/dada or gramma/grampa, etc. to buy my stuff for me). If I resell the device to someone and they notice the defect, that makes me look bad as a seller. I don't do that crap to people and I don't want to advertise selling an Apple laptop that rattles... just like I'm not going to buy a used car that is making abnormal sounds for a premium price because I care about reliability and normal parameters for operating a device. It's not normal for most companies to design a laptop that has parts that "thunk" around when handing the device.

Like I said, I hope they take care of that issue for you. It's pretty stupid for people to try and convince you to accept your fait lol... high achievers and people with standards and expectations just don't do that :p

I couldn't agree more with all of your points. I will not accept a faulty machine. Unfortunately I received my machine today and there is still a loose part inside the casing. It seems even senior Apple advisers have zero interaction with the repair team. The repair team simply wiped the hard drive, ran a diagnostics test, and sent it back to me. I have reached out to the same people on the ticket in regards to next steps. At this point, I just want my money back.
