The battery on the 10.5" pro is terrible. Lots of complaints.

The device is an absolute beast even 4 years on. I suspect that the relatively early 120Hz screen, powerful processor, and an undersized battery are the primary reasons why.

I probably should have responded to this thread earlier, but I tried one last ditch effort at fixing the iPad and did a DFU wipe (https://www.imore.com/how-to-iphone-ipad-dfu-mode) and the battery issue was resolved. This was, of course, after I bought and fell in love with a new iPad Pro 11" (A12x, not M1)
I tried that multiple times. It never worked for me.

I even got a couple of new iPad Pros due to the white spot issue. And the battery life on the brand new units was the same. About 5-6 hours of screen time with a fresh battery.

I haven't had any issues whatsoever with my iPad Pro 10.5". Ok, the home button became nonfunctional, but a cleaning fixed that. My 2021 iPad Pro 11" is here on Tuesday. I wonder if I'll see much of a difference between the two.

My 10.5 screen better than the new 11…but think it a matter of the variation in manufacturing. The 11 is going back.

That's good to know. The main reason for me to want an 11" is for the LIDAR capabilities. I'm very keen to see how well it scans 3D objects.
