Too bad when we get our new phones, they don’t come with pics of the traveling experience. I want to see first hand what my iPhone saw!

Give it a couple more years. Soon our new iPhones will come with our iCloud already pre-installed and powered on so that we can track it via Find My while snapping a still image every 10 mins to create a time lapse video of its journey from assembly line to your hands.

i was going to do that but it was recommended that the 13PM was on iOS 16 for a smoother transfer when doing in store pickup.

Totally get that! Definitely want as much of a smooth transfer as possible . What I usually do when I get my new phone is do a complete software install, and then restore from the latest backup.

Those who just departed. Expect to land in 8 hours.

What happened on the launch day?

For me, I sat and waited ALL DAY. Called UPS a few times once it got past like 6 pm (previous iPhones had always been in my hands by noon) and they assured me that no drivers would be quitting their routes before all packages were delivered. When I still didn’t have anything by 11:30 pm, I called again and they said, “Oh yeah, we’re not getting it to you today.”

When I called the next day, they basically said they didn’t actually know where my shipment was, and that I should *call them Monday morning to make sure it was on the truck for delivery.* Um.

I lived in Orlando at the time and it came to Orlando after the typhoon delay and then headed back to Louisville, before coming back to Orlando. FTR, I did not call Monday morning to help them do their job. 😳
