Bmustaf has reported that UPS 748 has departed ZHCC, and my phone was, of course, not on it. This means that it has now spent more time in China then I did in the US Navy on the old āBonnie Biddleā DLG-34.
iJustine and Marques are my top two tech reviewers. But there are a few others I watch who do in-depth research and tell it like it is.
Thanks for looking into this! My app also shows "null status" since sometime last Friday, even though website and email initially confirmed a Sep 16th pickup. Affected my pro max order only, possible only pro max orders are affected w/ this "null" designation instead of the date showing up. My wife's pro, ordered at the same time, shows properly the pick up date. I was just going to see what happens once Thursday rolls around, hoping they both show ready for pick up on Friday.
Yup, that checks w/ Tail Number N622UP that @Jtw1219 spotted a bit ago. I think that's our flight. Hopefully in an hour or so we some some changes.
Another amusing thing about the AfterShip app: It thinks the phones traveled back and forth 3 times š

I have in-store pick-up as well. Mine just says "processing" but my credit card has a pending transaction with the amount of the iPhone. So I assume it shipped from China and is in Kentucky or being transferred to my local Apple Store.

I set my (Premium) UPS account to pick up at the nearby UPS retail store. Someone called me today to let me know that my āitem from Chinaā was ineligible to hold at a UPS location. ā¦. That I would have to wait for 3 attempts then I could pick up at CC. ???? So from the browser (not app) I set for pickup at the CC (which is what I wanted from the start anyway, it wasnāt an option from the app.
Iāve always picked up from CC, except last time at store because CC wasnāt an option. Letās see if this sticks.
I love following both this and the uk thread. I'm in the uk and last ordered a launch day iPhone 12 and loved the experience of both getting involved with the excitement during the keynote, reading here and going to my local Apple Store to collect. A little more memorable I guess as it was during uncertain times.
I had paid off my phone using an Android for like a week and caved and got the 13 pro. Now I must say following the threads again and getting the same buzz making me wish I could have held out longer as much as I love my iPhone
circumstances made the choice to upgrade sooner the most sensible option.
I'll be following here and spend the next few weeks reading up and catching up on these threads. I've not even started the uk one yet this year lol

I think my phone got beamed to Louisville. Last update was 11/9:50 in China. Just now I got notification it was in customs clearance in Louisville.
