For those in and around the NC/SC area where your local hub would be Charlotte - we've got two flights scheduled. One in about 3 hours, one tomorrow morning. I've had packages delivered same day as the early morning flight too. They sometimes also make a trek from CLT to Greensboro via truck, and then out to the regional CCs too.

I’m not sure what time my phone will be delivered but I’m sure it will be before I leave the office for the day tomorrow (4:30pm) so I’ll be able to go home and retrieve it and bring it back to work but won’t be able to set it up until the evening. I’ll just be able to give it lovingly glances all day.

its about 9-10 hour truck drive to me from KY. I would think they would be traveling by plane since thats pretty far right?

Yeah I'd say plane. Cutting it too close to tomorrow for truck, what if it breaks down, etc.

Delays in confirmation are normal. UPS pulls the package and adds labels to it to reflect the change. It happens at various points in the process, but usually at the end. So I would expect to see the confirmation on changes as your device arrives at your destination sort center.

They have far too much volume at World Port to be pulling boxes aside for special label changes.

Good point. Probably flagged when it is scanned at the destination CC

I currently live in a small town of old people. Moving next year, but I don't think I will be having any issues with delivery time. And no, I don't trust them, but this lady sounded both confident and nice. Which was refreshing. 😅

Unfortunately, yes. I'm leaving before it gets here. Unless they magically deliver it in the morning.

That's what I figured, but the only flight from louisville to new orleans doesn't take off for like 3 more hours and i already got a departure scan.

Idk if it depends on the driver…but they’ve told me in the past that they can’t do that.

If the UPS guy can't get to you, he'll return it to the distribution point and you'll be waiting until Monday anyway. You should be able to arrange collection tomorrow.

I would request to have it sent to a pickup location if I was in your situation, and that isn’t even a good option because everyone’s who’s requested, including me, hasn’t had any verification that they will actually reroute it. (Expect @boxermansr who contacted them to confirm)

So thanks to all the informative input, I decided to just hold it at my local CC and it seems like I can still get it tomorrow luckily enough. $5.99 well spent! Don't want to go through all the hassles over the phone with reps with 1 out of 5 star rating.
What's interesting is that the service level has changed into "Next Day Air". Hmmmm. Seems like UPS is trying real hard to stick to the schedule
