I was wondering why the Jets are 2-6 despite having one of the more talented roster. I understand now. #14 celebrated a TD too early, letting the ball go before crossing the goal line. The ball rolled out the endzone. No TD and insult to injury, a touchback. The other team gets the ball.

Good gawd. If your team is 2-6, you don't have the luxury of showboating.😩

I didn't expect fireworks but this is REALLY boring.

And losing to the jets?
The Jets have a talented roster. They have arguably the best CB in the league, Sauce. They have a Pro Bowl caliber WR's (Wilson and Adams), a future HOF QB, one of the best D's. The real surprise is that they're under .500.
Good lord pick a lane Texans. Are you a good, playoff contending team or what?
To be fair, they're without their WR1 and WR2 (2 guys who accounted for over 40% of their passing attack). Texans fans got a taste of what it's like to be a Bills fan.😁
Also why would the NFL let them both wear dark helmets? This drives me nuts. If I were the QB on either team I'd be pretty pissed off that our hats looked so similar.

That is the first time I have seen an NFL player do that. Happens a couple times a year in college, but rarely in the NFL. He should had ridden the bench for the remainder of the game.

It happens in the NFL quite often.

Seahawks… 🤦‍♂️ Unbelievable. They need to get rid of Geno. And Macdonald… 3&1 failed miserably, then do the same thing again at 4&1??? Just fake left and flick the ball over to your RB and run right.

They are up against the Niners next.

I remember thinking the same thing as it was happening... they got stuffed twice and he decides to go for it on 4th down.. that was definitely a head scratcher... I thought for sure they were at least going to try and throw them off by going play action and a short dump off... Or some misdirection.... But nope they tried the same play that had gotten stuffed.

Sounds vaguely familiar. Did you see the PSU / OSU game?

It's funny I've been saying for a while that Geno wasn't a good starting QB. Then he kinda became one.... for a little bit anyway. Maybe he's a mediocre one...? Good but Not great, iffy but not horrible?
I think he's ok-ish, but... they're rebuilding the team. They got a new head coach, new strategies, making adjustments to the team, lots of changes coming. Do you want a 34 year old QB who makes such stupid mistakes and can't get the team anywhere? It will probably take them another 3 or 4 years to get back to the top. Then you have a 38 year old QB who might make it into the SB, thanks to their new legion of boom, with a lot of luck. And then what? He's too old, retires and you have to start rebuilding with a new QB again?

That's the advantage of the Niners. Their issue is the head coach, injuring his players season after season (and making stupid mistakes in the SB).

Yesterday we were out and the wife was reading me scores off her phone. When she told me the Panthers beat the Saints, I told her that the Saints coach was going to be fired "tomorrow".

And he was.

I don't want him period.

I gave him some slack but I've never really thought he was truly any good at the NFL level.
