I love mine! I went to the store with the intentions of buying the 21.5" and I got to looking at them both together and I feel in love with the 27".

The extra resolution size makes for photo and video editing much easier especially when working with HD content. Nothing is scaled down to fit the screen.

I do suggest making sure you have a good size desk to accommodate for it and it seats back at least an arms length away. The brightness of the monitor itself lights up my desk at night alone.

The screen looks gorgeous!

If you can afford the little bit extra go with the 27". You can never have too big of a screen really. I just really love how I can have so much on the desktop at once without anything overlapping. Only reason I can't go with a 13.3" MBP... I love larger resolutions.

Played around on the 27" in a store today. Seems small compared to what I'm used to :(

21" looked like a midget.

The question is a ridiculous one, since the perception of the size is dependent on the distance from the screen.

You can go a mile away to look at a 50 inch plasma and it will look smaller than one pixel, or you can look at a gameboy 5 inches away and it will be bigger than the 40 LCD TV that you watch from the couch.

Bigger=better

No it is not too big. I wish it was bigger!

And you still can orginize stuff in one corner of the screen if you prefer too :D
