I'm really lost.

I don't know what to do.

-Stay on PC, that I can upgrade always.
-Buy an 21,5" new advanced
-Buy an 27" refurb.

Get the 27'' Refurb! You will NOT be disappointed.

I have had my refurbished i7 a week as of today. It came in a white box (not the fancy retail box). And except for some very minor backlight bleed in the top right hand corner, it is an AMAZING machine. Unfortunately, after only a week I know now how quickly I am going to fill up the 1TB drive. I ordered a couple external HDD enclosures so I can utilize some of the spare drives laying around the office.

Go with the refrub. You will not be happy with the gaming results on the 21.5".

If you're really concerns about playing cutting edge games for the next 5 years it's very hard to say if the imac will work for you. Presently the drivers for the video cards on the macs are terrible (see the comparisons on steam games), but both nvidia and ati have said their working on fixing this...

Either jump to the refurbished imac or upgrade your current pc.

I went to the store this evening.

I tried the 21,5" model and the 27". I think the 27" is really big for my desk. The problem is that now I WANT IT. :p

Hi.

What are the - of a refurbished model?

I received my refurbished 27" i5 last week. So far, so good. Machine looks brand new, nary a scratch nor a smudge. Screen appears even (no yellowing that I can detect).

Don't have any speed specs, but still getting things loaded in.

R.

Well...iMac 27" it's only 3 o4 4 inches more height and widht than the 24" Samsung LCD that I'm looking.

And it's only that. I will have a bigger screen, yes. But I will erase CPU tower from my desk. Only screen and one wire...

Damn! iMac or not iMac? That's the question!:p
