No I did not misread it. Maybe you did. He stated it was ordered on Thursday, shipped next day, and is out for delivery today, That is only ,lets see counting Thursday, Friday, Monday as business days that is 3 days not 5-7 business days as apple site usually quotes. So you are the one who misread it my friend.

Look, this will be my last post about this, but please pay attention to what you just wrote. The OP said it was "Out for Delivery", right? You asked him how the screen was? I took that as you expecting an answer when he had not even received the machine. Had you asked, "Let us know how the screen is once you get it", I wouldn't have said anything. So who read it wrong???:p

it's 7pm we're waiting for an update here.. helloooo.. we can't wait on the forums all day haha jk.. hope is great :D

it's 8:37pm, if your 27" iMac is good I'm placing my order tomorrow!!

Me too . . . but the suspense is killing me!!

Fast fast fast

I just got my i7 standard configuration. Delivered 0900 in Seabrook NH from Shanghai.
Ordered 2/18/10 @ 2200
Shipped 2/19/10 @ 0900
Delivered 2/22/10 @ 0900

SHOCKED!! But incredibly happy.

Now I am doing all the testing etc.

No Flickering.

Not hot after only 3 hours of running.

Yellow mmmmm trying not to see it, if it is there, it is not grossly there. I see it some time more than other. Called Applecare to report it just in case.
They suggested going to a store and have a new LCD installed if I wanted. Am holding on that.

Backlight Bleeding mmmmm the corners get a little gray/blue, but I still need to find a better way to test that. Any suggestions?

covrc:rolleyes:

You could test at night. Off all your lights, turn the brightness of the imac to maximum, then view a black image at fullscreen.

So sorry guys... once again... i forgot!!

Yeah i did the yellow screen test and it's perfect, no weird noises either... and i even made a few movies using i Movie, and stayed up until like 2 am.

I also did some performance tests, and i loaded up iTunes and turned on Star Trek in HD,

Then i installed Heroes of Newerth (a game) and ran that in Windowed Mode

and had them both running at the same time, and Not a single slowdown! runs like a champ!

serial number

computermilk please let us know what week your is?

I have ordered a Mac 27 standard Core 2 Duo Since 1st of December (Greece) and in the local store (Not AppleStore) they told me they do not get delivered to us and they keep changing the dates because of issues they have... then i logged in here to see what happens.
I assume now is fixed since the last date i got from the local store is end of this month to be delivered !!!! (i wait 3 months i do not believe them....)
Too much patience but at least they protected me from a possible usual problem...

let us know, thanks

Look up serial number either on the box, or from the menu bar, click the Apple symbol and choose "about this Mac", and where is says "Version", click it twice and your serial number comes up. From there if you serial number reads
W8, that means it's made in China. The 3rd number following is the year it was made, most likely it will be a zero if your iMac is a newer build. The 4th and 5th digit is the build week. So if your serial reads W8005, then you have week 5.
