do you guys think on launch day they might do some cool stuff like give out apple t-shirts or something?

(In eldon square on the openning of the new apple store they did this)

If not then i might not bother queing up haha

A little off topic i know - but we just had a visitor in the office from NY with a 32GB Wi-Fi only..... nicer than I thought it would be... smaller (in a good way), really cant wait now!

I can picture the scene now - as hundreds of people outside each apple store are told that all the stock has run out... they will flock to DSG with all the dignity of a zombie horde!

Yeah and then DSG will only have about 5. Then what....

Just went past the regent street apple store and no queue. There was however a very pretty journalist talking into a camera lens.

Ironically as i'm off on holiday over the BH weekend, and not leaving until friday PM, so i could do an all-nighter. However both local stores are in big shopping centres that wont open until morning anyway, so its pointless to turn up really early, because even then there are mutliple entrances.

Going from my xmas eve experience, the shopping centre near me was open an hour or so before any of the shops opened.

I went past about an hour ago and there was a queue of about 7. Two kids at the front! (Well done!)
I spoke to the last few in the queue who looked well set up for the night with some wine. Looked like a nice atmosphere.
I'm in London on business this week (fortunate coincidence) but I can't really stay up all night.

I plan on going down early morning but nothing too silly. An Apple Store guy said they expected to have enough stock to meet demand for at least the day.

oh man there should be some law about being able to queue up early, being anywhere for 8am is already insanely early for me, going to hate waking up early trekking it to Regents St. only to find out there was only any point if you started to line up at 3am or something. Central London seemingly only has 2 places stocking it, Regents St. and the Dixons on Oxford St.

Does anyone else have experience of Apple launch days, if i turn up at 8am is there a good chance i'll get something? I don't mind being in line for hours so long as I know it'll be worth the wait.

Am hoping most 'sane' people pre-ordered, and tomorrow is merely a half hour wait whenever you turn up.
