The UGREEN 30W USB-C charger from Aliexpress works equally good as Apple’s 30W charger.

Both charge my iPhone X from 0-100% in exactly 2 hrs.

We are drifting off topic but I am going to risk a moderators intervention:-
You say that only Apple offer replacement for faulty units.
Well, not exactly true.... Anker offer a full replacement on items purchased if found to be a manufacturing defect at any stage, on top of Ankers additional extra 12 month warranty.
Staying with Anker, they are as you know big in the US and they’re also the same in the UK. I doubt Anker would quibble in helping a customer if one of their items damaged an Apple product.

Personally, I have used Anker for years. I have never ever found any of their products to be nothing but perfection. They are tested thoroughly and have to pass a very rigorous EU test just to allow the products to be sold within the EU.
Apple are greedy enough as it is. If I can find a way to benefit my wallet then I will do it.

It should be the same as this charger - https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=24425

^ Incidentally cheaper from Monoprice, although shipping is probably not free.

The original product page has the word PD, but the Amazon page doesn't. It should be Power Delivery, but it's also USB-IF Certified so it should be fine.

Glad I waited a day. Charger is even cheaper with free shipping today directly from Monoprice. Just placed my order.

Fast charging on iPad Pro 12.9" 1st Gen works well on USB-C Apple chargers with 15V profile, and with an Apple original USB-C to lightning cable. I can only find one full-on, attractively priced charger on the market as of June 2020, which is the 61W A1947 for around £35 second hand:

Summary - most flexible chargers for iPad are 30W, new 61W, and 96W models.
Apple 12W USB-A : 5.2V @ 2.4A only
Apple 29W USB-C Power Adapter: 5.2V @ 2.4A, 14.5V @ 2A
Apple 30W USB-C Power Adapter: 5V @ 3A, 9V @ 3A, 15V @ 2A, 20V @ 1.5A

Apple 61W A1718 MNF72LL USB-C: 5V@2.4A, 9V@3A, 20V@3A no 15Volts !
Apple 61W A1947 MRW22LL/A USB-C FastChrg: 5.2V@3A, 9V@3A, 15V@3A, 20.3V@3A! £32 fb market april 2020
Apple 87W A1719 USB-C FastChrg: 5.2V @2.4A, 9V @3A, 20.2V@4.3A, no 15Volts !
Apple 96W A2166 USB-C FastChrg: unconfirmed specs 5.2V @ 3A, 9V @ 3A, no 12V, 15V @ 3A, 20.5V @ 4.3A. No 12V output.
Apple "Fast-Charge" requires a cable that support USB-PD "USB Power Delivery 2.0"

Apple usb-a cables (to lightning or to usb-a) are less than £15 of FBook marketplace now..
And I'd be wary of buying so called "Apple" cables from less than scrupulous merchants. There are too many fake cables going around these days. Even on Amazon...

The name brand ones like Anker, Aukey are probably safe bets. In any case, definitely check to see the support the cable has for various power requirements. Some cables I think are limited to a maximum of 18W, which is mostly for iPhones - for the iPad Pros, you'd definitely want at least 30W support to see an effective difference.

Also to reinforce your point, it's difficult to trust any power ratings given by random manufacturers. If not properly manufactured to the USB-C spec, it's possible that a bad cable might cause your device to malfunction / be a fire hazard.
