you think so? then, you're wrong buddy..
i own the iMac 3.06 and it is exactly what i need, i work with audio professionally. if you think you are a power pro only with the mac pro, then you just don't know anything about. i use only 1/3 of the cpu power in a whole song/structure. that's enough. and at the same time, i do check my emails/surfing web/using iPhoto/whole iLife suite.

Yes, you can also do audio...

Despite that, the Mac Pro is a much more powerful machine and there is no point for someone changing it for a Prosumer system

yes sure, but it depends on his needs. if he change it and upgrade/downgrade/whatever to iMac that could save him some money, plus space. it's just like a big monitor on the table :p

true that. there are some people out there with more money than brains...

Geez! That could not be his case, maybe he needed it for serious stuff, used it for a long time, but then he stopped.

Take my case for example, I used to record bands with a PowerBook. Then i needed the power and I bought a MacPro, used it, it sure helped me get things done faster, but now I only do some composing and some slight editing. Went from using Pro Tools to LogicPro and now I use Garage Band even more (I record tracks in GB and export them to Logic)

For my use, an iMac is more than enough, even though at first I got & needed the MacPro. Besides more space helps!
