It does this on my Mac Studio as well. Had to reboot it to bring back my Mission Control gesture.

I should have submitted a case report via Feedback Assistant when it was in the state of not responding to four-finger swipe up (my setting for Mission Control). I forgot all about it and just rebooted. You can search for Feedback Assistant and use it to report bugs even if you're not running a beta version (I think you still have to register for beta). Who knows if Apple actually looks at it though.

unfortunately this issue popped up again on 14" M1 Pro in Monteray 12.4
edit: if you open a terminal and run "killall Dock" that solves the problem

Thanks so much, this is a nice working quick fix for a bug still happening on 13.0.1.

this is happening to me nearly daily. my fix is to not touch the trackpad for 5-10 seconds and it resolves itself. however having to do this daily does not feel like a "fix".

Hmm. I think I am encountering this issue as well on a 14" M1Pro. Pretty annoying. Running MacOS 13.2.1 (latest version as of this writing) and it isn't fixed.

Happening to me too! Maybe like once a day. Restarting Dock in terminal fixes it. 14 M1 Pro, on 12.6.3. Crazy that it's still around in Ventura...
