They have 10,886 active sites and 94.16% 3G coverage. Use the coverage checker on the website and see how you will do. I have been using a Sim only in my unlocked iPhone for 6 months and has been far faster than O2 for data.

The pricing is really good.

10GB for £15 a month compared to O2's 3GB for £15 a month...Wow!

Hopefully informed iPad 3G users will all use 3 and then Vodafone/Orange/O2 will have to get their arses in gear and give us at least a reasonable deal. At the minute they all seem to be in cahoots to rip off iPad owners. Well done 3.

Also, network coverage near me seems quite good, so i've signed up.

I've heard very good things about 3's network when you can get it.
Just ordered the sim.

Micro sim ordered, thanks for the heads up OP!

Certainly I think that the other companies will be more aggressive in their pricing strategy. When the pre-orders came online, all companies except O2 looked like they were drinking loopy juice.

Since then they have modified their prices to come closer to (or match) the O2 tariffs.

If Three look like they are going to win a lot of customers with their prices then we will see the other drop theirs.

The best way is to just buy a normal 3 simcard and trim it down with unlimited 3G access! I just ordered one 3 microsim so I can trace it on an actual 3 simcard so that i could cut it perfectly.. :D

That's the only disadvantage I can see at the moment.

Bundled wi-fi can be a great advantage if, like me, you work in places that are covered by BT Openzone.

Yep I agree, it's a great tariff but that odd occasion where I'm in a hotel with poor 3G coverage and half decent wifi access is worth the extra £10 from Orange. Personally i can't believe I"m even entertaining Orange!

I think Orange and 3 have the best tarriffs at the moment depending on usage of course.

O2 have the same Openzone access on the iPad tariffs.

I'm leaning towards Orange (a little reluctantly) as well at the moment. Aren't they supposed to have really good 3G coverage?

I think so, it's just that they have shockingly bad customer service. Mind you I think 3 possibly are the worst company to deal with out of the networks in the UK.

I used to work for O2 a few years back, and have a distain for Orange from both a personal experience and what I witnessed with customers. Mind you I love their funny little adverts in the cinema, and they're marketing (Orange Wednesdays etc) is excellent.

As long as i have no need to deal with their customer services, then hopefully everything should be OK.

3's website says - Only 1 sim per person.

I would like to have the option of either data plan.

So...

I ordered one of each. One to be delivered to my home address and one to my business address!

I'll let you know if it works.

I am still hoping that the Three pre loaded sims will work that sell on ebay

12gb data for a year. £29 & you just trim the sim to fit :D

Oh they do indeed work ;)
