Apollo model is from J Roberts (from StarWars!)... he donated to the Celestia community way back.
It really is a super model, with some great details - inside and out!
Set up the scene in Bryce and retextured, added a lit interior for the command module. Retinted the windows.
Moon tex from NASA. Science panel is open.
Quite pleased with this render. Looks great on my phone!
Revisiting a 17 year old render! The purpose of it, to see how much better I can do, now!
I could post just the render but I didn't want to give it away!
Not so much mine although I worked hard on this image...
In game shot, but the models are better than anything I could do.
Had to set the scene up for the shot, so it it took a while to setup!
Then a repaint in photoshop for the spit.
So, moving along with my knowledge expedition into c4d, I have compiled this attempt at a timelampse through various tuts and googling. Plugins used: Forester & Octane.
This was my very first attempt at animating anything in 3d in a long long time, and I can honestly say I pretty happy about it. I had an issue finding a coral texture anywhere on the interwebs apart from one guy who sold it in a pack on gumroad for EUR40. I even downloaded Substance Designer and started basic tutoring but it will take some time to get a grasp of it and create something remotely usable, but nonetheless, it put me on a lovely path.
