I've had a look about and haven't found any 3Dmark scores for 3Dmark running on the i7/i5 in boot camp. Has anyone run these test's here in this forum or can anyone perhaps point me in direction of a site that has this info?

Thanks in advance

It will be home soon, how about yours?

Is this still free or do you have to pay for it now? I remember when I used to care which was like 4 years ago now you had to pay. If it's free I can give it a go when I get home for you guys.

It's a free benchmark mate

You need to have Windows installed, as it's Windows only mate

3DMark Vantage on my i5 w/ 4Gb RAM, running Vista 64-bit:

P6490 3DMarks
CPU score: 12839
Graphics score: 5571

I'll run 3DMark06 in a bit.

Thank you for taking the time to preform this benchmark mate !

Cheers mate! 3DMark06 will be appreciated too :D

yay, then it's not a gaming machine. Just for comparison, my i5 PC with nvidia gtx275:
P13631
GPU score: 11103
CPU score: 42976

This large CPU score is probably because of PhysX enabled on my card. I'll disable it in a second and run the test again...

with
PhysX disabled:
P11506
GPU: 11108
CPU: 12889

I don't think anyone is really claiming the iMac is a games machine / gaming PC but its good enough for us casual gamers that only want to have one machine, that is a mac, and play our few games well enough.

Much as I might like to have SLI'd GTX 285's I have absolutely no need for that sort of performance :) Though it is a shame that the ATI cards don't have PhysX. Should Apple swap back to NVidia down the line with a good card, I may sell my soon to come i7 and swap over but thats a while off :)

Maybe in the sense that it wont run crysis in ultra settings on native resolution, but it will run most games and run them pretty decently too.... I'm really only interested in WoW, Aion, Warhammer and maybe a bit of left for dead, but it's nice to know that's it capable of more too

Here are my 3DMark06 results on my i5 w/ 4Gb RAM, running Vista 64-bit:

3DMarks: 11211
SM 2.0 Score: 4264
SM 3.0 Score: 4795
CPU Score: 4246

After seeing all the youtube videos of Crysis running fairly well at high settings on macbook pro's, I'd be flabbergasted to find the iMac running it slower. Hopefully, even Crysis will be handeled well. I mean, Left 4 Dead plays pretty well on my low end aluminum macbook, and with everything set to "high".

11.2k is a pretty good 3Dmark06 score. My 2.8Ghz Octo, GTX 275 under Vista was getting just over 12k. Makes me happy to be switching!

You had something wrong with your system... my PC with gtx275 gets over 16k on 3dmark 06. On the newer 3dmark vantage the gtx275 is twice the speed of hd4850 in iMacs.
