I ran the free 3dmark06 on a 32-bit xp (the only windows I've gotten to run on my i7 so far), and it gave me:

11448 3DMarks
SM 2.0 Score 4222
SM 2.0 Score 4222
CPU Score 5027

Keep in mind that xp only sees 3GB memory out of my 8GB, so I bet a 64-bit os would give a better score.

i7 iMac Benchmarks

In 3DMarks06 (32bit XP), I got: 11,610 (SM2=4232, SM3=4814, CPU=5472)
The Mobile 4850 in the Mac gets 3D scores that are close to that of my desktop ATI 3850 in a PC.

I also ran a Crysis benchmark... It (the benchmark tool) does not support the iMac native resolution, so I had to test at 2560 x 1600. The number would be a little better if I could test at 2560 x 1440, but not much.

At full res. and high quality the frame rate averaged a too slow 16.01fps.
At full res. and medium quality, I got an average of 32.62fps.

The game plays quite well at medium quality, but is a bit sluggish at high.

In the end, even at medium quality, Crysis looks awesome  on the display.
