3G iPad: ABC, Netflix etc WIFI only?!?

these limits have me reconsidering getting 3g. sure netflix can stream, but the download limit is stupid! i was only planning on using it when im on the road and want to download en episode of south park or something like that, but it looks like i might save myself the $130 and just tether off my droid. Im not that concerned i wont have all of netflix to watch in ATT's small coverage area.

Same thing for me. I ordered a 3G for myself, but I'll probably just get the wifi only version for my wife since it has these limitations.
 
Wow does Netflix look like crap. I am watching The Proposal over 3G and the quality is horrible, very very pixilated. Disappointing to say the least.

To be fair, it is the exact same way on my wife's wifi iPad + MyWi.

So it seems speed performance is pretty much the same with iPad 3G vs. iPad 3G via MyWi...
 
Those limits don't really bother me. As much as I'd like to immediately destroy AT&T's network by sapping all their bandwidth I think that we'll see more streaming apps updated to support 3G as time goes on. This is day one for iPad 3G availability; we're bound to see some changes over the next few months.

AT&T may be wanting to test their theory that most people will choose to take advantage of their hotspots over 3G as well. I know that hasn't been true for me and my iPhone..

EDIT: And honestly, what am I losing out on? It still does wifi...
 
i think i am gonna go pick up a wifi only ipad. Makes the most sense to me. I guess it is true the videos will look horrible over 3G, this wont be very useful until 4G is released. ATT has horrible coverage area, and its $130. I can put that towards a MBP. Dangit, i returned my wifi only model too, my wifi wasnt working. Looks like that $130 is going towards an airport extreme.
