So it's exactly the same. My only incentive now to getting a 3g model is the GPS.

Here is the best iPad 3G test run on AT&T's data network:
Download: 3754 kbps
Upload: 330 kbps*
Ping: 262 ms

Compare that to the iPad WiFi connected to the Sprint 4G Overdrive portable hotspot:
Download: 3925 kbps
Upload: 937 kbps*
Ping: 287 ms

When I connect to Comcast Cable Internet via the AirPort Extreme, the iPads typically get:
