I've been away and I'm back.

Can anyone help me out?

My situation is- I'm on:

iOS 4.3.5
Baseband 05.13.04
jailbroken
unlocked (can use any Sim card)

I would like to upgrade to 5.1.1 but I can't-

I've created a custom IPSW to maintain my baseband

PwnedDFU gives me "iPhone could not be restarted. Unknown error 10"
Normal DFU gives me an "Error 1600"
I've modified the host file and tried it both with the apple (.gs) and without it.

From the iphone wiki:

Error 10
LLB is missing from the IPSW. The device cannot be booted up. The trick to skip the baseband update no longer works.

Probably your custom IPSW is faulty.

Make a new custom NO_BB IPSW with either redsn0w or sn0wbreeze.

Download original 5.1.1 IPSW from here in iclarified:
http://m.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=750

Now make a new NO_BB with the downloaded IPSW and try restore with pwnd DFU.

Just tried re-doing the custom IPSW with redsnow and got the error 10. Tried doing it with SnowBreeze and got the same error.

I must be doing something quite wrong here!

So I've tried all suggestions (except a new USB cable- but i think it's highly unlikely).

I redownloaded the 5.1.1 IPSW to ensure there were no issues there.

Still getting error 10 everytime (I'm in PWN DFU, have created a custom IPSW using redsnow or snowbreeeze)...

My details:

iOS 4.3.5
Baseband 05.13.04

IPSW version "iPhone2,1_5.1.1_9B206_Restore.ipsw"
iTunes version 10.2.2.12
Redsnow version "win_0.9.14b2"

What could possibly be going wrong?

Thanks for the help so far!
